National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC)
Formed in 1871, the NAIC is a voluntary organization of the chief insurance regulatory officials of the 50 states, District of Columbia and U.S. territories. The NAIC’s overarching objective is to assist insurance regulators in protecting consumers and helping maintain a financially stable insurance industry.
National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR)
NIPR supports the work of state insurance departments and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners in making the insurance producer-licensing process cost-effective, streamlined and uniform for the benefit of regulators, the insurance industry and the consumers they protect and serve.
